this was something I did quite a while ago, when the trees were still clad in their verdant coats. it’ll be a quarter year before we see that again… but the winter has its own charm.
moving on -I had been thinking I should use more of the other materials of the beach in my work . the driftwood, seaweed, and various plants that abound at the beach seem like a bounty of material, all that could be used by some alternate culture who subsisted solely off the generosity of the sea. I built a sort of cradle in the arms of a vaguely anthropomorphic stack and filled it with what I could find.
regret having only brought my cell phone that day, but I think the idea is something I could work with again. a decent first foray into a new area of expression.
