the last in our random collections of small balances. these were all constructed in a strong wind, which resulted in arrangements that wouldn’t be reasonable otherwise. you’d be surprised how much force the sea breeze can actually apply to these solid objects; it makes placing the individual stones a lot more iffy. you have to wait for the moments where the wind is steady – strong or weak matters less than constancy.
I imagine that there will be plenty more small builds done this year; I’ve got a lot of life changes taking place, and it makes time at the beach hard to come by. on the up shot, I may have found a new spot to work, one with some dramatically different stone types and environments. I’ll let you know if it pans out.
